DRAWING FOR NATURE

offers scientific drawings, artwork, illustrated reports and press cartoons based on research in biology and ecology. Since 2022, a wide variety of themes have been covered, including paleontology, anthropology, ethnography, herpetology, fluorescence and biomimicry.

WHY?

How can we create new narratives in which humans and non-humans coexist in a context of biodiversity collapse? How can we depict life beyond anthropocentric perspectives? This work, which sits at the intersection of art and science, explores the role of visual arts in transforming our relationships with living things through practice.

HOW?

All works and reports are based on scientific publications and produced in situ or during scientific expeditions, in collaboration with biology research laboratories and naturalist associations in France and Southeast Asia.

ARTS-SCIENCES PROJECTS

These are drawn reports, artistic drawings, artistic performances and comic strips that have been produced as part of art-science residencies since 2023, in collaboration with scientific institutions in Europe and South East Asia.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

Mapping arts and sciences research projects in France and abroad, research residencies, exhibitions and events since 2022.
